Marc Bourgault

Marc Bourgault was born in 1947 and has lived in and around Montreal all of his life. A PhD in literature from Laval University, Marc has been at Radio-Canada since 1976, with two brief interruptions.

Working primarily in radio, he has covered politics, the environment and now economics, always at the national and international level, travelling to most parts of the world. He is also the author of a novel : L'Oiseau dans le filet and has won a number of prizes, including the Merril-Lynch prize for economic journalism.

After years of reporting, he became a producer of a weekly program on the economy in 2001 but since 2004, that program, L'Heure des comptes, has become a daily program, aired from 18:30 to 19:00 from Monday to Friday.
